Always use an insulated screwdriver when removing or installing the ballast into SHOWGUN fixtures. It has been observed that due to the very long voltage holdover of the ballast, using a non insulated screwdriver can cause a short that can cause damage to the lamp enable circuit.

Proper screwdrivers will have the following ratings, VDE approved handles, insulated to 1,000 Volts or certified to IEC 60900:2004. If an insulated screwdriver is unavailable, install heat shrink tubing over the screwdriver shank.
